Tayler Kinner is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and educator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri.  While studying abroad in Hua Hin, Thailand, she studied classical Thai Khon dance under Pichet Klunchun.

Tayler spent several years in San Francisco where she worked with contemporary and dance-theater companies including  RAWdance, Alyssandra Katherine Dance, Tim Rubel Human Shakes, KWENTO, REYES Dance, and several independent artists.  She has performed in New York, Berlin, Thailand, St. Louis, and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Tayler is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Big Plate Dance, bringing the play and joy of improvisation to people of all backgrounds and ages through shows and workshops. Big Plate Dance was privileged to receive a residency at SAFEhouse Arts and honored to be one of five artists chosen to take part in ODC’s Pilot 72 program. They have presented work at PianoFight, SAFEhouse Arts, ODC, STL Fringe FEST, and Dine on Dance.

She currently lives in St. Louis with her partner and two cats, is Adjunct Faculty at Webster University, and is a company member with Karlovsky & Company Dance.
