Tayler Kinner (they/she) is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and educator. They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri. While studying abroad in Hua Hin, Thailand, she studied classical Thai Khon dance under Pichet Klunchun.

Tayler spent several years in San Francisco where they worked with contemporary and dance-theater companies including RAWdance, Alyssandra Katherine Dance, Tim Rubel Human Shakes, KWENTO, REYES Dance, and several independent artists.
Tayler is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Big Plate Dance, offering movement improvisation workshops to the public and bringing spontaneous and immersive works to audiences. Big Plate Dance was privileged to receive a residency at SAFEhouse Arts and honored to be one of five artists chosen to take part in ODC’s Pilot 72 program. They have presented work at PianoFight, SAFEhouse Arts, ODC, STL Fringe FEST, Dine on Dance, and as part of Collective Motion's show, "At the Table." In 2024, Big Plate hosted Half-Baked, a show that highlights local artists' works-in-progress and invites the audience and artists to engage in thoughtful conversion around the development of the work.

Tayler has set work at Webster University in the New Works Concert in 2021 and 2023. Their work, "like a boat going past all the bus stops," was selected for MADCO's Dare to Dance festival in 2024. Tayler is honored to be the guest alumni artist for Webster Univeristy's 2025 WUDE concert.

She currently is Adjunct Faculty at Webster University, teaches at Central Studio, guest teaches with Resilience Dance Company, and works with Karlovsky & Company Dance and Collective Motion. Tayler lives in St. Louis with their partner and two cats.
